The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced today that it will require a negative COVID-19 test from all air passengers entering the United States in an effort to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

COVID-19 "major incident" declared by London Mayor, Sadiq Khan

The spread of COVID-19 in London is "out of control" according to the city's Mayor, Sadiq Khan. The coronavirus infection rate has exceeded 1,000 per 100,000 people, based on the latest figures from Public Health England. The Quick Group office in London remains open for business and will continue to monitor the situation. Quebec issues four-week lockdown as of January 9th

Quebec has issued a province-wide curfew starting Saturday, January 9th, in an effort to combat surging COVID-19 cases. This four-week lockdown includes a mandatory 8 pm to 5 am curfew, though travel to/from work is permitted. Air travelers require negative COVID test results in order to enter Canada. Essential workers, such as Quick/Sterling employees, are exempt from this mandate. If you have any questions about your shipments, please contact your local Customer Service Center.

The European Union’s Medicines agency gave the green light today to Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine—providing the 27-nation bloc with a second vaccine to use as the virus wreaks havoc across the continent. www.cnbc.com
