Back Lanny Schindelmeiser appointed as Sterling’s Vice President of Operations in North America | Sterling Global Aviation Logistics

Sterling, a Kuehne+Nagel company, has named aviation specialist Lanny Schindelmeiser as Vice President of Operations, based in Herndon, Virginia. Lanny will focus on operational excellence, process improvements and network infrastructure, ensuring that Sterling continues to provide the highest level of service for its aerospace and aviation clients throughout the Americas.

Prior to accepting the position, Lanny was Sterling's Vice President of APAC and acting Vice President EMEA for two years in Singapore, where his responsibilities included business development and regional operations management. In his role, Lanny successfully expanded the business, developing solutions for aircraft manufacturers, commercial and business aircraft operators, as well as maintenance and repair organizations in order to optimize their supply chain and minimize aircraft downtime.

With 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, Lanny has held various management positions at various logistics companies. He is originally from Los Angeles and grew up in New York, NY. Lanny has an MBA from York St John University in the UK and a FAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License.
